LEAP Innovation Support by AGS Programme puts together the bright minds of entrepreneurs, students and researchers to create new or improved products and services. The facilitated process brings together different perspectives from Zambia and Finland, with the intention of designing sustainable, innovative solutions to serve the Zambian market.
We believe that great ideas are born when people from diverse backgrounds interact and ideate in a safe, supporting environment.
Innovations from Zambian universities rarely come to fruition due to lack of business skills. LEAP offers a new way for academics and businesses to work together, commercialise innovations and share knowledge. It does this by drawing knowledge from two diverse pools of expertise; Zambia and Finland.
Share, listen, discover, build and LEAPfrog your business.
LEAP is a guided, demonstration-driven process that uses the principles of human centred design to help teams ideate, innovate, and prototype rapidly. It helps you discover resources for innovation within yourself, your co-workers, universities, and the bright young minds of students.
We aim to develop the culture of Research, Development and Innovation in Zambia by allowing students and researchers to think like businesses, and businesses to think like innovators.
All AGS activities follow a Human Rights Based Approach. We support business initiatives that respect gender equality and promote inclusive job growth in the economy. Products and services must also consider environmental and health issues.
LEAP is implemented in partnership with the National Technology Business Centre (NTBC) of Zambia.
