AGS Programme Calls for Consultants and Short Term Experts

DESCRIPTION

The AGS Programme invites applications for one (1) Consulting Firm and four (4) short term expert
positions as follows:

1. FINANCIAL SERVICES AND PRODUCTS CONSULTANTS (FIRM)

The AGS Programme treats access to finance as a cross-cutting key activity that is vital to the growth of targeted MSMEs. The Financial Services and Products Consultants will therefore, make available financial services and product information for targeted MSMEs in AGS core provinces and sectors.

Objective: The suitably qualified and experienced consulting firm will collate information about available financial services providers/programmes their services and products including eligibility criteria, cost of services, decision turnaround time and funding threshold for MSME growth within the core programme provinces and with specific reference to the identified programme sectors.

Time schedule: The timeline for the study is from the October 2021 to December 2021. Total duration for the study covers 60 person days.

2. NATIONAL MONITORING, EVALUATION AND LEARNING EXPERT

 AGS has developed a results framework for the Programme and during the implementation phase requires an International Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Expert to assist in collecting, cleaning and analysing data, as well as support for writing reports. 

Objective: The National MEL Expert is a short-term expert position, however they will be an integral part of the AGS Programme Management Unit, providing strategic support in data collection, analysis, and report writing. The International MEL (IMEL) Expert, along with the Team Leader/Chief Technical Advisor (TL/CTA), will provide oversight to the National MEL Expert.

Time schedule: the intended implementation period of this assignment is between September 2021 – August 2022. Duration of the contract: maximum of 115 consultancy days between the beforementioned time period, with 52 days/2.5 months during 2021 and 63 days/3 months in 2022.

3. NATIONAL BUSINESS LINKAGES EXPERT

The AGS supports development of business linkages and long term partnerships between StartUps, MSMEs and Lead Firms locally in Zambia as well as between Zambian and Finnish businesses. Business linkages and partnerships aim to lead to deals and contracts signed, and finally to new business.

Objective: To identify suitable business partners and strengthen the business linkages between Zambian StartUps, high-potential MSMEs, and Zambian Lead Firms in the local markets, as well as to support potential Zambian companies to partner with Finnish companies. The Expert will engage with the relevant Zambian stakeholders identifying opportunities for matchmaking and partnerships based on the company profiles.

Time schedule: The intended implementation period of this
assignment is between September 2021 – June 2022.

Duration of the contract: maximum of 63 days consultancy days between the beforementioned time period, broken down as 21 days in 2021 and 42 days in 2022.

Terms of Reference for National Short-Term Expert Business Linkages AGS Programme

4. NATIONAL CO-CREATION (IP LAW) EXPERT

The AGS Programme will create concrete opportunities for co-creation, technology / knowledge transfer and commercialisation of innovation among the private sector and academia through its LEAP Innovation Challenge.
The short-term Co-creation Expert will contribute to the successful
implementation of the AGS Programme and more specifically the
LEAP Innovation Challenge. The AGS Programme requires a Co-creation Expert to support the LEAP Service provider, local partner,
TA team and other stakeholders to plan and implement co-creation
workshops.

Time schedule: The intended implementation period of this assignment is between September 2021 – June 2022.

Duration of the contract: Maximum of 63 consultancy days during the before mentioned period, broken down as 21 days in 2021 and 42 days in 2022.

The AGS Programme will create concrete opportunities for co-creation, technology / knowledge transfer and commercialisation of innovation among the private sector and academia through its LEAP Innovation Challenge.

The short-term Co-creation Expert will contribute to the successful implementation of the AGS Programme and more specifically LEAP Innovation. The AGS Programme requires a Co-creation Expert to support the LEAP Service provider, local partner, TA team and other stakeholders to plan and implement co-creation workshops.

Time Schedule: The intended implementation period of this assignment is between September 2021 – June 2022.

Duration of the contract: Maximum of 21 consultancy days during the before mentioned period.
